DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Manson John Campbell, age 75, at 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Herb Bennerfield will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre on Monday from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm, with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Tuesday from 8:00 am until services.
A native and resident of Bob Acres, Mr. Campbell passed away Sunday, October 03, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Campbell was worked with and retired from Murphy Oil with over 30 years services.
He leaves many fond memories with family and friends, and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife OF 51 years, Doris Arcement Campbell of Bob Acres; his sons, Manuel Campbell and wife Sandra of Sulphur, Andy Campbell and wife Jill of Delcambre, Toby Campbell and wife Shantelle of Erath, and Jason Campbell and wife Tiffany of Bob Acres; seven grandchildren, Drew, Lane, Alli, Dustin, and Matthew Campbell, and Brittany and Daniel Laborie; and his brothers, Louday Campbell of Bob Acres, and Elvis Campbell of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erice and Mable Legnon Campbell; and his sister, Everta C. Robicheaux.
Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, Manuel, Andy, Toby and Jason Campbell, and grandsons, Drew and Dustin Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Louday, Elvis and Charles Campbell, and Gerald Robicheaux.
