Allemeier was 101, when he passed away on November 3, 2010. Graveside services will be held at the Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee, FL, Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Roger Seidner officiating. Mr. Allemeier was born in Putnam County, Ohio, the son of William and Margaret Allemeier. He served in the U.S. Army, including WW II and the Korean Conflict, retiring after 21 years as a Chief Warrant Officer. After retiring from the army, he worked for and retired from the US Postal Service in Kissimmee, FL. He was a member of the US Army Retired Officers Assoc. He was awarded the Bronze Star for service in the European Theater and was cited by the Army and the State Dept. for his support of "Operation Mercy", housing and feeding 7,000 refugees from the Hungarian revolution at Salzburg, Austria. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth G. Allemeier and five siblings, Flora, Alfred, Elvin, Elsie and Ruth Allemeier. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law
