Mr. Lincoln Brudno, 92, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010 while surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Ezra and Rose Hess Brudno. Mr. Brudno served 4 years in the Air Force during WWII and was stationed in London, England at the Air Transport Command as an intelligence officer where he met his wife, Dorothy, who was also stationed with the ATC. In his prime, Mr. Brudno was an avid golfer. He loved to write, specifically about his travels. Mr. Brudno enjoyed his travels; he and his wife practically traveled the world, visiting every continent with the exception of Antarctica. He had a love for dogs and was notorious for his black standard poodles. Mr. Brudno worked as the Marketing Manager for a division of Johnson & Johnson and Marketing Manager for Revlon. He also worked as the Vice President of a division of Warner-Lambert. He decided to go into business for himself and was the President of Lincoln Brudno Inc. After he became self-employed he continued to keep many of these companies as clients and specialized in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to his parents, a sister, Emily Cooper, preceded Mr. Brudno in death. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Dorothy Brudno; sons, Kenneth L. Brudno and Dr. Douglas Spencer Brudno, Dr. Brudno's wife, Dr. Linda Leatherbury and their children, Dr. Jennifer Nicole Brudno and Alex Fredrick Brudno. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, 1 p.m., at the Salisbury National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the home in celebration of his life on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Davie Co.
