Alexander Bobreski of Port St. Lucie Florida passed away in his sleep at the age of 87 on December 8. He leaves behind his wife Janet, his daughters Anne and Mary and two sons Alex Jr and Jim. Catherine, his first wife, of 53 years predeceased him in 2003.Alex was the son of Mary (Jung) of Tuszow Norodowy, Poland and Alexander Bobrecki of Schutorzy, now the Ukraine.
Mr.Bobreski was born in Oswego,NY. He is also survived by his three sisters Alice Steckiwicz of Syracuse, Lousie Kon of Oswego and Jane Waldemar of North Carolina. He served in the US Army during WWII as a field artillary gunner and later in military intellegence and translated for the survivors of the various death camps in Germany at the conclusion of WWII.. He was a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in chemical engineering. He was an inventor and writer as well. He served as an inspector for water treatment facilites in Florida and later served as an instructor for training waste water operators. He was an avid gardener, horticulturalist and environmentalist before it was in fashion. Funeral services are being prepared in Port St. Lucie Florida.
