Mary Lorinda Duffy was born September 27, 1918 and passed December 30, 2010 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was the oldest daughter of Andrew J. and Marie Kasic. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband William David Stevens, January 22, 1957 and second husband Milton A. Duffy, August 30, 2005. She is survived by her sisters Martha Kasic Fifer of Anaheim, CA and Frances E. Kasic of Lakewood, CO; step-son William Thomas (Diann) Stevens of Great Falls, MT; son W. David (Rochelle) Stevens of Denver, CO; grandson Mathew Stevens of Seattle, WA; granddaughter Darci (Jim) Freeman and her two sons Drew and Decker of Highlands Ranch, CO; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary worked as a telephone operator for AT&T, an office manager for Stevens Automotive and a cook for Parkview Hospital, all in Pueblo. She graduated from Centennial High School and attended University of Colorado at Boulder. She enjoyed playing piano all of her life including playing for her Eastern Star Lodge and in her later years leading sing-a-longs at her care center. She participated in the Colorado State Fair Silver Queen competition in 2003. She was an active member of numerous organizations including the Ladies Auxiliary of both the VFW and the DAV, as well as a member of Adriance United Methodist Church. She had a great love of people, always encouraging and uplifting everyone she touched. Because of her great love of animals the family asks that donations in her honor be made to the Pueblo Animal Services, www.puebloanimalservices.org.
