The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel and the funeral service will follow with the Reverend Ray Thomas and Reverend Don Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny; sisters, Pauline Palms, Nomia Williamson, Mary Harvell, Hazel Moore and Ann Shackleford.
Left to cherish her memory are her only son, Johnnie Neil Anderson and wife Gail; twin grand daughters; Marcy Anderson McCaskill and husband Joshua, Mindy Anderson Hopper and husband Justin; great granddaughter Laney Caroline and great grandson, Landon Joshua (due in a few weeks) one brother, John C. Pugh.
Margaret was born on June 10, 1934. She was a member of Jessup Grove Baptist Church. She worked for Curtis Packing Co. until her retirement. She was a Red Cross volunteer and enjoyed ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Margaret was known for her generosity, tasty apple turnovers and homemade pickles. She enjoyed crafts and always made holiday surprises for her daughter-in-law’s third grade class ranging from bunnies to reindeer candy canes. She loved animals and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard.
