Shirley Ann Wilson Allums, 59, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 6, 2011. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Cliff Houghton and the Rev. Keith Keele officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Shirley was born July 24, 1951, in Shelbyville to Robert Lee Wilson and Edith Lee Drye Wilson. She was the youngest of 10 children. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved many things in life, like riding horses, camping, fishing, playing bingo and reading, but most of all she loved being Meme to her grandchildren and spending quality time with them. Shirley graduated from Shelbyville High School and received her associate of applied science in business Administration from Amarillo College. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was married to Frank Allums Sr. on March 29, 1968. She was preceded in death by her father; her mother; three brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Frank Allums Sr.; four children and their spouses, Frank and Brandi Allums of Huntsville, Bruce and Carey Cox of Lake Dallas, Kristopher and Vickie Allums of Splendora, and Faustino and Staci Martinez of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren, Kaleb and Kylie Allums, both of Huntsville, Shelby and Jordan Allums, both of Lake Dallas, Aaron, Davin and Keely Allums, all of Splendora, and Alex, Michael, Amber and Enjelika Martinez, all of Amarillo; a great-grandchild, Rebekah "Gracie" Allums of Lake Dallas; two brothers, Robert Wilson of Blairsville, Ga., and Samuel Wilson of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and a sister, Sue Dover of Center.
