The Dentlers' moved to Abilene when Dale was 5 years old and Dale attended 12 years of school in Abilene Independent School District and graduated from Abilene High School. Dale spent most of his life as a manager for American National Insurance Company in Childress, Texas and Abilene, Texas until he was disabled with a kidney transplant in the year 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Tye Baptist Church, Tye, Texas, with Pastor Ben Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Tye Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene. The family will receive friends at a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Dale was preceded in death by his incredible loving mother, Betty Lou Laurence Dentler, on July 28, 2006 and his small loving nephew, Colton Blaine Dentler, on March 3, 2004.
Dale raised his children in Tye, Taylor County, Texas where he had many friends and family.
Dale leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his son, Dale Alan Dentler, Jr.; daughter, Amanda Dawn Dentler; son, Brandon Glen Newton and wife, Sabrina; father, Herman Dentler, Jr. and wife, Lynda; brother, Russell Lee Dentler; sisters, Vicky Lynn Lilly and Lesa Gail Stutts and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Cylee, Riley, Kaegan, Samantha, Shea, Brad, Blake, and Sydney; and many nieces and nephews.
Dale lived his life to the fullest and always found a way to have a good time. Dale had a way of making friends with everyone he met and will be missed by all who knew him.
