Anita Wisco Baysa, 78, Kansas City North, passed away April 5, 2011 at Northcare Hospice House. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, April 11th at St. Gabriel Catholic Church; burial will be 12:30 PM Monday at Leavenworth National Cemetery where Anita will be buried with her deceased husband, Pedro Baysa who passed away in 2004. A visitation is scheduled 6-8 PM Sunday at the McGilley Antioch Chapel where a rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM.
Anita was born October 8, 1932 in the Philippines. She moved to Kansas City in 1962. She was a member of St. Gabriel Parish and the Filipino Association of Kansas City. She was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital as a unit secretary for 25 years. Anita was dedicated to her family, above all her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and especially growing plants and flowers. Throughout her life she possessed that special charisma that naturally drew people to her. Anita was happy, helpful and always giving to others. In addition to her husband, Pedro, Anita was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Grace W. Baysa-Ng and husband, Steven; 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Mary Grace Ng; a brother, Isidro Wisco; sisters, Salvacion (Sally) Medallada and husband, Jose, and Antonia (Toni) Wisco; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
