Jeanette was born in Browerville, MN on August 27, 1932 to Joseph and Susie (Gafke) Hossalla. She moved to Duluth at a young age and graduated from Morgan Park High School. Later Jeanette attended Duluth Business University for a short time before working for several area businesses including Minnesota Power and First National Bank of Proctor. A short time later the couple moved to Port Wing. Jeanette was a ball of energy and it was difficult to keep up with her. She enjoyed traveling and fishing for walleye as well as gardening and reading. The couple went on several cruises that included Caribbean and Alaskan destinations. Jeanette had a fondness for jigsaw puzzles, cooking and feeding the birds that would frequent her feeders. She will be greatly missed.
