TAHLEQUAH, OK_ Funeral services for Dakota Lee James will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 10;00 AM at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah, OK with Reverend Calvin Ulrich officiating. Interment will follow at Grass Cemetery in Salina, OK. Services have been entrusted to Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Dakota Lee James was born on September 11, 1996 in Tahlequah, OK the son of Daniel and Victoria (James) Moore. He attended school at Tahlequah Public School and was in the Eighth Grade. Dakota enjoyed riding his skateboard and playing Xbox with friends. Dakota was always happy, smiling and had a terrific sense of humor. He was warm hearted and loved the time he spent with his family. He was considerate and kind. A Methodist by faith, Dakota’s spirit took flight on April 16, 2011 at Tahlequah, OK. He was fourteen years old. This very special son, brother, grandson and friend will be missed by those lucky enough to have known him.
Dakota was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anna James, his little sister, Shyanna Rose Gokey, and two uncles, Wayne and Grover Lee James Jr.
Dakota leaves behind his parents, Daniel and Victoria Moore of Tahlequah, OK. He also leaves a brother and sister, Tobias Thompson and Misty James all of Tahlequah. His very special friend and grandfather, Grover James Sr. of Tahlequah and Dan Moore of Missouri, his grandmother, Debbie Snow of Marshfield, MO, three very special aunts, Gail Guerra, and Rebecca Hooper both of Tahlequah, OK and Tammy Moore of Missouri, and two uncles, Shane Moore of Langley, OK and Michael Moore of Missouri as well as many cousins, friends, and a host of loved ones.
