Antonio Fedalizo Acosta, of San Jose, passed away in the early morning of May 29, at home after fighting a three year battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). He was born February 20, 1955, in Quezon City, Manila Philippines, the son of the late Marita Fedalizo and Piodecimo Acebedo Acosta. He was the youngest of 7 siblings at the age of 56, and is survived by his loving wife Catherine and his son and daughter, Vincent Earl and Andrea Mae Acosta.
A Graduate of the Philippines Women's University and bearer of a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Accounting. Shortly after enlisting in the Army he met the love of his life in the summer of 1976 before leaving for training. They would later be married in Bamberg, Germany in 1978 and would return to Guam to raise his children. Serving 21 years in the Army and National Guard he retired in 2003 as Sergeant First Class and went home to Candelaria, Zambales Philippines to build the house and garden he'd always dreamed of. After five years in happy retirement he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease and moved to California to reunite and spend his remaining years with the family he loved.
He was a man of quiet discipline, a lover of classic rock, and an avid gardener who shared a love of cooking with his family and friends. He is, and always will be, loved and missed.
Arrangements under the direction of Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, Fremont, CA. He will be laid to rest and interred back home in the Philippines.
