James M. Ashton, M.D. of Beverly Hills California passed away in Los Angeles on June 07, 2011. He was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on March 01, 1955. He was the son of attorney James Ashton and the late Frances K. Ashton. He graduated with honors in Biochemistry from Michigan State University in 1977 and graduated from Washington State University School of Medicine in Saint Louis in 1982. He then moved to Los Angeles and did his internship at the USC Medical Center. He was an avid reader, fluent in Spanish language, a world traveler and skilled equestrian. He loved to sail, enjoyed skiing and deep sea fishing. He was a very passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team and the USC Trojan. We’ve lost a very special doctor, colleague, friend, and a father to Jake the Dalmatian and Belle the cat. He survived by his wife of 11 years Norma Ashton, his father James Ashton and his step mother Marleen Ashton. his brother David Ashton his Aunt Edna Ashton and his uncle Phillip Ashton. A celebration of his life was held at California Yacht Club on Saturday June 11, 2011.
