Harry (John) D. Allman, 100, of Vancouver, WA, formerly Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in Vancouver, WA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11 a.m., at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 10010 E. 40 Highway, and entombment at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Mr. Allman was born October 16, 1910 in Blythedale, MO, to William and Urusla Allman. Mr. Allman was a retired owner and operator of his own barber shop business. Prior to self-employment, he was a past foreman at North American building the B-25 airplane during WW II. He also served as past president of the Landing Optimist Club. Mr. Allman was an avid sports fan both as a participant and later as a spectator. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia; two sons, Derryl (Deborah) Allman and Roy (Brenda) Curtis; one daughter, Judith (Rob) Vaillancourt; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
