2011. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the
Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 746 S. Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan with Rev.
Paul Ytterock and Pastor Steve Baillie officiating. Visitation will be held at the church
from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be made in the
columbarium at First Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to
McLaren Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Davison, Michigan or the Humane Society of
Genesee County. Dane was born in Flint, Michigan on June 1, 1922 and lived in Flint all of his life. He
served in the US Army during WW II in the Pacific Theatre and was honorably
discharged as a Sergeant. He graduated from Michigan State College in 1947 and entered
business with his father Peter Andresen as a licensed residential builder. He and his
father, as Andresen Builders, designed, built and remodeled many homes in the Flint and
surrounding area. On August 29, 1953 he was united in marriage to Sarah Brier in the
chapel at Michigan State College. Dane was a member of First Presbyterian Church and
the Builders Association of Metro Flint. Surviving are his wife Sarah, daughters Elizabeth of Bay City and Catherine of Rochester, MN, son Peter and wife Sherri of Atlanta, GA, granddaughter Tomeka Chappell and
husband Jason of Atlanta, GA, grandson Justin and wife Julie of Atlanta, GA, great
grandchildren, Kalob, Dawson, Hannah Belle, Logan, Hudson, Hallie Kate and Dane,
twin sister Sonia Newland of Grand Blanc, niece Linda Bacon of Byron and cousins Tove
Hallager of Aalborg, Denmark and Jensine Andresen of Kihei, HI.
