Ethel “Jane” Seale Adamson, 86, passed away on August 17, 2011. Jane was born on April 19, 1925 in Teague, Texas to Fletcher Franklin Seale and Delma Izora Manning Seale. Jane grew up in the Teague and Jewitt area before later moving to Houston. Jane worked at Humble Oil in Houston where she met her husband, Charles “Kelley” Adamson. Kelley and Jane married on April 8, 1958 and resided in Houston. Jane continued to work as an accountant for various oil companies until her retirement.
Jane was a loving and devoted mother and wife. She was a true servant helping her former co-workers and neighbors at every opportunity. She spent many hours in her kitchen cooking and providing meals to those in need. In her spare time, she was found on the golf course striving to improve her game, tending to her lovely flowers or performing her own household repairs.
Jane is preceded in death by husband, Charles Kelley Adamson; her parents Fletcher and Delma Seale, brothers Franklin Odem “Buck” Seale of Victoria, Billy Sidney Seale of LaGrange, and Fletcher Franklin (Junior) Seale and sister, Sarah Frances Seale Dickerson.
Jane is survived by her son, Kelley Seale Adamson and his wife, Carla Williams Adamson of College Station; granddaughters Adrienne Diane Adamson and Brynne Parker Adamson of College Station. Jane also leaves her two sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Seale McCollum of Beeville and Mary Louise Seale Simms of Houston and her brother, Donald Ray Seale of Lubbock. Jane also leaves numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at the A&M Church of Christ Chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and earmarked for Research.
Kelley and Carla wish to express their appreciation to the entire staff at Hudson Creek of Bryan, Texas and to Texas Home Health Hospice for their undying love and care shown to Jane during this time.
