Warren was born January 31, 1932 to Beulah (Mason) and Conard Bunting in Samsville, IL. He married Rowena Buckles on March 4, 1950 at the First Christian Church Parsonage in West Salem, IL. Warren thoroughly enjoyed farming and also worked for several years at Pacific Press and Shear as a welder. He was a member of the Lancaster Church of Christ. He also held membership for 50 years at the West Salem Masonic Lodge #866.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Max Allen Bunting, and one grandson; Philip Gerlach.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years; Rowena, of Bone Gap, IL., one son; Mike (Katherine) Bunting, of the Samsville, IL. area, two daughters: Nancy (George) Gerlach and Darla (Jeff) Bradham, all of West Salem, IL. Three sisters also survive: Connie Williams of Fairfield, IL, Wanda (Jerry) Welhousen of Olney, IL., and Dixie Meurer of Sun City West, AZ. Five grandsons survive: Russel (Seily) Gerlach of Wayne City, IL., Michael Brandon (Amanda) Bunting of the Samsville, IL area, Adam (Melinda) Bunting of Fairfield, IL., Austin Rodgers, currently employed in Chongqing, China and Daniel Rodgers of West Salem, IL. and four great grandchildren also survive: Max and Clive Gerlach, Rebecca Harwell and Adam E. Bunting.
Funeral service for Warren Bunting will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Ingram Funeral Home, West Salem, IL. Officiating will be Bro. Mike Knepper and Bro. Carson Root. Burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery, rural Samsville, IL.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM, Monday, September 19, at Ingram Funeral Home, with Masonic Services conducted at 7PM. To honor Warren, his bright red tractor will be parked in front of the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Lancaster Church of Christ or the Lancaster Christian School.
