Ethel Mae Adams was born in Hillsboro, Oregon to parents Lorin and Gwendolyn (Davies) McCormick. She grew up on the family farm in Newberg, Oregon. In 1953, she married Ralph E. Adams and they made their home in Portland, Oregon. She was a homemaker, day care provider, and past president of the Portland Day Care Association. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, Bunco, trips to the Oregon Coast, and caring for others. Her family always came first. Ethel is survived by her children; David, Annette, Barbara, Carolyn, and Richard; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Paul. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; parents Lorin and Gwen; and sisters Paulene and Irene. Graveside services will be at 2pm on Friday, October 14th, 2011, at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.
