Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
He was born August 6, 1966 in Niagara Falls, Canada a son of Edwin and Tamara Clark Buckaway. He married Coriena Kievit on August 15, 1998.
Jonathan was a Real Estate Broker employed by EXP Realty. He was very active in Calvary Baptist Church and Renaissance Road Church. He was a drummer in the band “Three Rusty Nails”, loved golfing at Tanglewood Golf Course, and was active in The First Tee of the Triad. Jonathan had a servant’s heart and lead people to Christ by example.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Coriena Buckaway of Winston-Salem; three children, Meagan, Annika, and Tanner all of Winston-Salem; and his mother, Tamara Buckaway of Winston-Salem.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edwin, and one sister, Tanya.
Memorials may be made to The First Tee of the Triad or Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Frank Vogler and Sons Clemmons Chapel in Clemmons. Burial will be in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
