Alberta R. Anthony, born September 15, 1915. Mrs. Anthony passed away peacefully October 22, 2011 at the age of 96, having had a good life and a good reputation and a good testimony. She was preceded in death by her husband Will, whom she married in 1937. She was the second of seven children born to Callie and Sam Rogers. Mrs. Anthony is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Lillie Hawkins and Ms. Kate Rogers, both of Cleveland, Ohio as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a long-time member of Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery Alabama. Mrs. Anthony loved being a member of the Matron's Missionary Group and will be missed by her special friends from there: Mrs. Lillie Gamble, Ms. Ruby Mays and Ms. Frankie Johnson. She truly loved and appreciated these ladies, along with Mr. & Mrs. Jo Brundage and many other friends and relatives too numerous to name who loved her and cared for her.
