A resident of the Westside of Colorado Springs, Alfred Aldaz, 81, entered into eternal life in the presence of his Lord on November 25, 2011 with his family and friends at his side. A farmer, a construction worker, and businessman, he retired in
1989 as a Colorado State Oil Inspector.
He was born in Center, CO to Juan E. and Beatrice Aldaz who precede him in death. He grew up in Center, Colorado
one of ten siblings and is preceded in death by his brothers Hilario, Sabinano, Sebedio and sisters Abelina Arellano and Maclovia Perez and is survived by brothers Levi, John, and Andrew and sister Jennie Medina.
Above all else, Alfred was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather and will be missed by his wife Amelia (Abachiche), the love of hi life, to whom he was married for 61 years who survives along with his children Nadine Solis, Leonard, Frieda
Romero (Daniel), Jeanine Martinez (Leonardo), and Carla Aldaz all of Colorado Springs, twelve grandchildrenand nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three children, sons Dennis and Carl, and daughter Edith.
Alfred was a man of strong faith, a devout Catholic; he served as an active member of Sacred Hearth Catholic Church for over forty-five years. He lived each moment of his life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, and spending time
in Cripple Creek with his wife. A Jack-of-all-trades, he loved to work with his hands to support those in need, he was an excellent dancer, and avid Denver Bronco fan.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade from 1:00pm-4:00pm. A rosary will be read that evening at 7:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2020 West Colorado Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday, December 5, 2011 at Sacred Heart. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery.
