Bishop Charles R. Hays Sr., age 63 of Albion passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born in 1948 to William and Draxie Hays in Dover, Delaware. In 1979 he married Netta Stevens who survives.
Charles was the Pastor of The Church of Jesus Christ for 11 years where he held the
position of Bishop. He served his country in the Navy during the Viet Nam Era. He had also worked with Law Enforcement, Private Investigator, Construction, Door to Door Milk & Bread salesman, Brooks Foundry, Saw Mill worker, Evangelist-Bishop-Pastor-State Bishop and Grandpa Hays in Foster Grandparent Program thru the Albion Schools.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin sister Joyce Fay Killen
Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor William Pogue officiating. Burial will be at Albion Memory Gardens, Albion, Michigan.
