Gary's life was very normal his first 30 years. He always liked school and dad a lot of friends! Enjoyed fishing in the Mt. Hood area, when our family would spend weekends and vacations at a friends cabin near Zig Zag. In school Gary was very active in Little League! When going to Madison - he was one of their main pitchers. He was VERY GOOD. He loved to play basket ball. Gary's Dad put up a basket ball hoop! Gary and the neighborhood kids played there often. Gary also was a good tennis player. Gary had several girlfriends and he just about got married.
When he was in his thirties, we started noticing his posture - and that was the beginning of his illness. Gary was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at O.H.S.U. in the Spring of 2000! He never complained or felt sorry for himself the last 12 years.
