Mr. Bish was a World War II Navy Veteran and a self-employed welder.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Fannie Helen Bish; daughters, Rose Mary (Dennis) Roach of Ooltewah; Junie (Tim) Mikell of Apison; sister, Luvina Smith of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Eric Cook, Fred Cook, Shaleigh Cronan, Shonda Ellis, Dawn Hutson, and Troy Roach; great-grandchildren, Amber, Cassie Cynthia, Deven, Emma, Jordan, Kinsley, Kristen, Nicholas, Rylan, Weston, and Zachary; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and celebrate Herman’s life Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel. There will be no visitation Monday. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Harvill officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
