Pauline Curtis Baerreis, died in her home at the age of 92. Formerly of Red Lion, Pa, Polly as she was known, live in High Point for 48 years. Polly was born in Boston, Mass. She enjoyed her position as fabric buyer at Thomlinson Furniture for many years. She was also a sailor at Oak Hollow Lake and Lake Norman Yacht Club, and a potter , working at Sawtooth Center in Winston-Salem. Polly is preceded in death by she parents, Bradford Scott and Jeanette Emery Curtis. She is also preceded in death by her husband George Peter Baerreis, Sr, a son George Peter Baerreis Jr, and a daughter Betsy Ann Baerreis.
Polly is survived by her daughter Wendy Baerreis Scheirer and husband Scott, a grand-daughter Rebecca Scheirer Fishburne and husband Todd, a grand-son Adam Baerreis who lives in Karmiel, Israel, four great-granddaughters, Hannah, Delia, Felicia, and Sadie, and her sister Nancy Curtis Lawrence.
A memorial service will be Saturday, February 25, 2012, 11:00am at Sechrest Funeral Chapel , 1301 East Lexington Ave, High Point.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the High Point Public Library.
