Leamon Lee Suttle was born July 5, 1931 in Coolidge, Texas as the son of Robert Lee Suttle and Beulah Effie Maulden Suttle. A Korean War Veteran, he served in both the Army and the 45th Infantry Division of the National Guard. A founder of Del State Bank and many other local businesses, he was also a successful cattle rancher raising Charolais cattle, an RV enthusiast especially liking his Executive Diplomat RV, Sonic franchise owner along with many other pursuits. Leamon was a civic leader and longtime resident of Del City, Oklahoma. He always put his family first and had attended all of his grandchildren’s events. The family spent many happy days camping in Belle Starr State Park at Lake Eufaula.
Leamon was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Suttle and Beulah Effie Maulden Suttle and two brothers, Billy Ray Suttle and John Kenneth Suttle. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elsie Suttle, their three children Greg Suttle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Patti Sharp of The Woodlands, Texas; and Jeff Suttle of Del City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Leslie M. Sharp; Daniel L. Sharp; Jeremy W. Suttle; Jessica Dee; Madison M. Suttle; Brooklyn Suttle; Mitchell L. Suttle; and Abigail S. Suttle; 2 sisters, Gladys Jarrard and Elsie Wilson; and a number of nieces and nephews. He made an impenetrable mark on the lives of countless other family members and friends, and he will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 14th at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at 5005 SE. 29th Street in Del City, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma with services under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home.
