Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Houston Victoria Center and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. She was Board Certified in Family Law and a Certified Attorney-Mediator. She began her law career with Woody, Gumm, Heintz and Villafranca; was an Associate and Partner at Marr, Meier & Hartman; then opened her own practice. After moving to Houston, Lisa practiced with Davenport, Hartman & Novotny before returning to her home in Victoria and joining the firm of Johnson and Brown. She had recently joined Kliem and Rodriguez. She served as President of the Victoria County Bar Association from 1993 to1994.
On the personal side, Lisa had a lovely singing voice and was an excellent musician. She loved music of all kinds and was a long-time member of the bluegrass band, Pat Fagan and the San Antonio River Coyotes, where she played mandolin and guitar and sang.
Survivors include her sisters, Nancy James and her husband, Dwight James, of Locust Grove, VA, and Susan Fagan and her husband, Pat Fagan, of Tivoli; nieces, Molly Fagan and Julie Hartman Murrah; nephew, Walker Hartman. She is also survived by Murray Dipple, her newly found love; Sterling, her beloved dog; and her many friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hartman, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday, April 2, 2012, at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 4 pm at the Hartman Family Cemetery in Arneckeville.
