Robert “Bob” B. Hightower, 56, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 in Carlin, Nevada doing what he loved most which was traveling across the country. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home with family inurnment at a later date.
Robert was born February 8, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to Harold and Janetta Hightower. Robert graduated from Lakeview High School and attended Angelo State University where he was a member of PKA. Robert loved to gold pan, spend time in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado and had a sense of love for all God’s creatures. His most recent greatest joy was the birth of his granddaughter Elizabeth.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother Janetta (Oakley) Hightower and Uncles N. A. Hightower and Al Hightower.
Surviving Robert is his wife Cynthia; his father Dr. Harold Hightower; sister Mari Doss; sons Jeremy Hightower and Laramie Hightower; daughter Cheyene Potter and husband Daniel; granddaughter Elizabeth Potter; uncle Thomas Oakley; cousins Jane, Linda, Diane, David, Jan, and Christy; a very special cousin Newton Hightower; special friends Bruce Jenkins, Mike Sietz, and Bill Armstrong.
In addition he is survived by special friends of his daughter who brought joy to his life Dylan Gomez and Eli Gomez and their children Riley and Bentley, also Kinley and Bethany Prichard and their daughter Blakley. He also leaves behind his trusting companion Annie the Beagle.
The Family would like everyone to dress comfortably and in bright colors, Bob was a boots, pressed jeans, and pressed starch shirt kind of man.
