Wanda Walker, 91 of Tahlequah, OK formerly of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She was born January 20, 1921 in Lavaca, to the late John C. West and Bertie Braley West. She was a member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church and a Homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward W. Walker and two brothers, Amos West and Tommy West.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 6th at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived by two daughters: Mary Seay and her husband Jim of Fort Smith, Marilyn Hobbs and her husband Gerald of Moody, OK; one son Bob Walker and his wife Lori of Bartlesville, OK one brother Jerry West and his wife Blanche of Fort Smith, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Potts, Denton Orr, Keith Orr, Scott Walker, Kyle Colburn, and Jason Haney. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Hobbs, Blake Hobbs, Brent Riggins, Carl Riggins, Kirk West, and Todd Colburn.
The family will receive visitors 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, April 5th at the funeral home.
