Gene was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Imperial, Missouri; he retired from Missouri Pacific Railroad after many dedicated years. Enjoyed woodworking, small engineer repair, especially traveling an enjoyed being Winter Texas with his wife, Pat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin & Eleanora L., nee Oelzen, Arras; and a brother, Leroy Arras.
Surviving are his loving wife of 28 years, Dolores "Pat" Arras of Imperial, Missouri; his five children; Gary Arras, Barbara Arras, Jane Arras, Robin Lynn Greer of Granite City, Illinois; and Richard (Susan) Kibbler of Fenton, Missouri., many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene (Ronald) Redman of Waterloo, Illinois., and Janet (Richard) Butler of Columbia, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Ted (Carol) Short of Hillsboro, Missouri; and a sister-in-law, Carroll (Dean) Arras-Jones of Waterloo, Illinois and dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
