Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Antone P. and Laura (Gracia) Aragao, she lived in North Dartmouth during her youth moving to Fall River in 1938. A seamstress, Mrs. Banville worked for various shops in Fall River for 25 years, including the former Craig Byron Sewing Shop. Prior to that she worked for the former Arkwright Mfg. for 12 years. She enjoyed ceramics, playing piano and gardening and yard work.
Surviving: one sister; Ernestine Bell of Swansea, several nieces and nephews including Sandra Nightingale and her husband James and Kenneth Bell all of Swansea, great niece and nephew; Dawn and Scott Nightingale, dear friend; Janet Hannafin. She was sister of the late Elsie Dollinger.
Visiting hours Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 4PM-6PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Committal prayers and entombment will be Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 10:30AM in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, 1540 Stafford Rd., Fall River.
