Clayton L. Taylor went to be with his Savior on Sunday, April 22, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his Wife, Stefanie Lieber Taylor and Sons, Dylan and Lane and Daughter Peyton, of Sonora, TX; Parents, Larry and Carolyn Taylor of San Angelo; Brother, James Taylor, wife Kelly and nieces, Hallie, Chloe and Sadie of Cisco, TX; In-laws, Rusty and Jo Lieber, of San Angelo; Sister-in-law, Amber Smith, husband Wesley and niece Daisy and nephew Fletcher, of Abilene. He is also survived by numerous other family and friends. Clayton was a devoted husband and father who loved spending time with family. Whether it was hunting or fishing with his sons, throwing a football or baseball with them in the yard, or enjoying the beautiful West Texas evenings outside with his family, Clayton was truly home in the outdoors. He was a master craftsman who could build seemingly anything with his hands. From his own home to homes in the community, Clayton’s handiwork was always on display. He had an infectious laugh and loved nothing more than getting a rise out of people. Nobody was safe from Clayton’s jokes and his home was full of fun and laughter. Clayton had a heart for the Lord and embraced the chances to give back to his church home in Sonora where he was an active member. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 6:00 P.M., at the First Baptist Church of Sonora with Rev. Matthew Killough officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Clayton’s name to the American Cancer Society or The Concho Valley Emmaus Community.
