April 29, 1943 - April 26, 2012
Patricia peacefully ended her battle against cancer Thursday morning in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Aberdeen, SD, she traveled the world with her family in her youth as one of 4 children to US Air Force Col. John T. Walior and his wife, Margaret Jane Carberry. Patricia attended the
University of Dayton where she met the love of her life, US Army Col. Francisco (Frank) J. Cedeño. Their marriage allowed them to continue a love of traveling the world, where along the way they were blessed with 4 children of their own. She was a devoted Catholic, wife and mother who was generous
with her life to others, and caring and nurturing to her family. Upon her retirement from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, she and Frank moved from the Dallas area to Austin to be closer to family members who had settled in the central Texas area. She will be sorely missed, while living on in spirit.
Patricia is survived by her husband Frank, her sister Barbara, brother William, son Michael and his wife Jean, daughter Kathryn and her husband Darren, daughter Reneé and her husband George, and daughter Pamela and her husband Jason, and the blessing of 11 beautiful grandchildren.
The family offers our deepest appreciation to Drs. Lakshmi Bala and Karen Cohen of Texas Oncology and their respective staff, Hospice Austin, and for the spiritual support provided by Rev. Isidore Ndagizimana and Rev. Vincent Nguyen, CSsR of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.
A Rosary Service will be held at half past noon on Saturday, the 28th of April, 2012 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Immediately following, a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, donations will be accepted to Livestrong.org/tribute, in memory of Patricia Cedeño.
