Kannapolis-Johnnie Mack Allman, 58, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his residence, following a period of declining health. Born January 12, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, he was a son of the late Jimmy Mack and Mary Adaline Jones Allman. Educated in the Cabarrus County schools, Mr. Allman had been a truck driver and was most recently employed with Dave Arey Grading. Johnnie loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frankie and Jimmy Allman.
Family members include his wife, Theresa Ann Rowell Allman, who he married April 11, 2008, his son, Michael Todd Allman and wife, Angel, his daughter, Lisa Ann Cruse and husband, Gerald, all of Salisbury, step-children, Josh Finney and Stacey Kluttz, his brother, Jerry Allman, Mt. Pleasant, his sisters, Grace Whitaker of Kannapolis and Mary Benton of Mt. Pleasant, and his grandchildren, Justin, Kristopher and Jeremy Cruse, Candice Drye, Matthew, Natalie and Autumn Allman.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 12:00-1:00 at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. A memorial service to remember and celebrate Johnnie's life will be at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Joe Black, Pastor, Eastside Baptist Church.
