Maximino Alarid, 82, passed away May 4, 2012. Predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn; son, Ron; grandson Joey Vigil; and granddaughter, Leyla Ates. Survived by his daughters, Maxine (Baki) Ates and Debbie (Joe) Vigil; and son Art (JoDee) Alarid; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Millie Noonan, Dolores Alarid, Mary Lou (Sam) Muniz, and Juanita (Adam) Salas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Max loved spending time with his family and watching the Rockies and Broncos. He enjoyed going to the American Legion and having a slopper at Coors Tavern. Max served in the US Army as an Airborne Ranger. He was a Corporal with the 4th Battalion Ranger Regiment during the Korean War and received four Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart, and several other medals. Visitation 4 – 7pm Wed. at Imperial. Funeral Mass 9:30a.m. Thurs., Sacred Heart Cathedral. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
