TANCRED, J. Pat “Tanc” 80 of Clayton, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 13, 2012. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 59 years and still counting Marge Tancred, four children and their spouses, Pam and John Hayes of Arcanum, Dr. Steve and MaryEllen Tancred of Lancaster, OH, Jody Tancred of Texas, Patty and Mike Wood of CO, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters Suzanne Schrand of Kettering, Thomasine Ealy of Vandalia. Tanc was a US Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, a member of American Legion Post 707 and was retired from the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company. In his retirement years, Pat was a proud member of the ROMEOs. Mr. Tancred was known to the Northmont Community as “Coach Tanc”, coaching football and baseball teams. He was elected into the Miami Valley Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990 and the Northmont Hall of Fame in 2000. He touched many lives and will be missed by all. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME ENGLEWOOD CHAPEL, 675 West Wenger Road, Friday evening from 5 – 7 pm followed by a Service of Remembrance at 7 pm.
