Memorial services for Thelma “Polly” Brown, 70, of Temple will be 2 pm Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Worship Center of the First Baptist Church of Temple. Private burial will be held at Flint Creek Cemetery.
The family will have a time of visitation from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple.
Ms. Brown passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her home.
Thelma was born in Coleman, Texas on August 18, 1941 to Truman C. and Gertrude A. (Calder) Ragsdale.
She retired as a Q.A. Tech/Lead which manufactured night vision equipment for the military. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church since moving here in 2008 from Garland. She loved reading, gardening and being a grandmother.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, sister and a nephew.
She is survived by a daughter and son in law, Delaina and Tony Westing of Snohomish, Washington; a brother, Truman Ragsdale of Zephyr, TX; three sisters, Dorothy Brown of Colorado, Grace Bullock of Temple, and Mary Meyer of Rogers; two grandsons, Brandt Westing of Austin and Chase Westing of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
