SHE WAS BORN IN CAMDEN, NJ DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JOSEPH AND ASSUNTA MADONNA AND A GRADUATE OF CAMDEN HIGH SCHOOL. IN 1953, LENA AND HER LATE HUSBAND VINCENT C. ALLEVA FOUNDED THE ALLEVA FUNERAL HOME OF PAOLI. SHE CONTINUED AS AN OWER OF THE FUNERAL HOME UNTIL 1981. FROM 1981 TO 2003 SHE STILL REMAINED AS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN THE BUSINESS UNTIL HER RETIREMENT IN 2003.
SHE HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF ST. NORBERT CHURCH FOR THE PAST 54 YEARS. HER MAIN PASSION OUTSIDE OF THE LOVE OF HER FAMILY WAS COOKING. SHE ENJOYED MAKING HOMEMADE PASTA DISHES FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER Children SUSAN (KEN) NEELD, CHARLES V. (JUDITH) AND STEPHEN J. (AMY). EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN AND FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND SEVERAL NIECES AND NEPHEWS.
IN ADDITION TO HER HUSBAND, VINCENT C., SHE IS PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY HER BROTHER, JOHN MADONNA AND SISTER, ANNA QUICI.
