Lisa Joyce Kauitzsch, 50, of Bartlett TX, formerly of Temple, TX, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday June 18th, 2012 at 10:20am after a long battle with cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy. Lisa went home peacefully with her parents at her bedside looking through a scrap book that she had recently made. She was greeted in heaven by her brother David. Lisa was born on January 23rd, 1962 to Lorain and Peggy Kauitzsch. She is survived by her parents; one brother, Andrew Kauitzsch; three children, Kristy Foster, Joshua Foster, and Valerie Foster; two grandchildren; sister in law Kim Kauitzsch; one nephew Derick Kauitzsch; two nieces Shelby Kauitzsch and Andrea Kauitzsch; and many friends. As per her request she was cremated.
Lisa Graduated from Bartlett ISD in 1981. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and staff at Will-O-Bell nursing home, talking on the telephone, arts and crafts, scrap booking, shopping, and participating in the activities at the nursing home – especially bingo. When she was able to use motorized power chair, she was a great messenger doing different functions for residents, staff, and the new residents. In addition she could not hardly wait for her next treat of Star Burst candy and Dr. Pepper soda water.
Memorial Services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartlett, Texas on Saturday June 23rd 2012 at 4:00pm with Pastor Michael Swink officiating. A private immediate family internment will be conducted at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
