She was born October 6, 1953 in Waynesburg, a daughter of James F. Kirby Sr. of Lake Helen, FL and the late Viola Eileen Evans Kirby.
Mrs. Barnhart was a 1971 graduate of West Greene High School and lived all of her life in Greene County.
On June 29, 1973 she married Gregory P. Barnhart, who died July 5, 1997.
She and her husband had owned and operated Barnhart’s Honda and Suzuki Sales & Service Motorcycle Shop in Ruff Creek.
Mrs. Barnhart was an active member of the Rolling Meadows Church of God, Waynesburg.
Surviving in addition to her father is a daughter, Yvonne M. Barnhart and her husband Craig Greenwood of Waynesburg; three granddaughters, Vivian, Lillian and Marian Greenwood; six brothers, Tim Kirby of Washington, Dennis Kirby of Waynesburg, Keith Kirby of Cheat Lake, WV, Kevin Kirby of Waynesburg, Todd Kirby of Camp Lejeune, NC and Troy Kirby of Wadestown, WV.
Deceased is a brother, James F. Kirby Jr.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 3, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Gregory Stauffer officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Ruff Creek. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
