ZIEGLER, Audrey Hinkson, 91, died August 16, 2012, at South Florida Baptist Hospital, Plant City, Fla. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Andrew Henry Ziegler, Sr., and her sisters, Clarissa, Lucille, and Dorothy. She is survived by her son, Andrew H. Ziegler, Jr., and wife Kalli; her daughter, Dee Ann Scionti and husband Richard; five grandchildren, Rebekah Moorehead and husband David, Rachel Ziegler, Amy Colwell and husband Shane, Megan Haynes and husband Cole, and Richard Scionti, Jr.; two great grandchildren Kristin and Alexander Moorehead. Audrey graduated from Edinboro State Teachers College in Pennsylvania and served as an elementary school teacher for 30 years. Born in Pennsylvania, she and Andrew lived in Ohio for eight years and moved to this area in 1954. She taught at Yates Elementary School in Brandon for many years. Audrey was very active in the First United Methodist Church of Brandon, and Sunset Heights UMC of Plant City. Loving, compassionate, loyal, and fun, Audrey Ziegler was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that anyone could ever have. She was loved and admired by many and this love and admiration were reciprocated. An avid square dancer, Audrey and Andy danced their way around the country. The annual family cruise was Audrey’s passion and love for the past 16 years. Her incredible sense of humor and positive attitude were evident until the end. The family would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff and doctors at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City for the loving care they gave Audrey. A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Seffner, 1310 S. Kingsway Road, at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First UMC of Seffner or to a charity of your choice.
