BAIER, Theresa – Age 88, of Flushing, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Heartland Health Care Fostrian Manor. Mrs. Baier was born November 15, 1923 in Flint the daughter of John and Theresa (Vargo) Gubancsik. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and dabbling in crafts. Theresa was a fantastic baker, loved growing red roses and being with her grandchildren. She retired from Flint Osteopathic Hospital as a nurse’s aide. Theresa was always at her grandchildren’s and great granddaughter’s sporting events. On November 14, 1947 Theresa Gubancsik married Paul Baier and he preceded her in death March 11, 2011. Surviving are her children, Jacqulyn (Thomas) Sublett of Flushing, Paula Bueche of Flushing, Duane Baier (Lana Reiter) and Buffy of Chandler, AZ., Thomas Baier of Flushing; grandchildren, Michelle Bueche (Bob Jakeway), Jennifer (Ted) Henry, Matthew and Jocelin Baier; great granddaughter, Jaime Jakeway, brother, John Gubancsik. Mrs. Baier was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Baier, step-sister, Irene, step-brother Alec, brothers, Steve, Mike and Joe and cats Buffy and Mandy. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reigle Funeral Home. As were her wishes there will be no service. There will be a procession to Flushing Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday with visitation from 12 noon to 1 p.m..
