Mary Sue Cole, 73, died Monday, September 17, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after an extended illness. She was born September 22, 1938, to Gerald and Dollye Presley Hodges. She graduated from Wheeler High School in 1956. She loved God, her family, her church and her many friends. She was a member of Calvary Baptist church. She owned and operated Hodges Printing Company for many years after the death of her father who started the company. She loved traveling and playing Bunco with her friends.
She spent her last year at the Landmark Assisted Living in Booneville, where she made many new friends. She was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mickey Trammel officiating and a eulogy will be given by her grandson, Britt Treece. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Scott Cole; one daughter, Sherri Cole Treece; two grandchildren, Britt (Amber) Treece and Erin Treece; three great-grandchildren, AliRaven, Gage and Blade Treece; and a special friend, Fred Clement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams Cole, whom she married on April 21, 1956; her parents, and two brothers, Jimmy Oakley Hodges and Jerry Dale Hodges.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
