Jeanette McDowell Fowler went to be with the Lord ON Sunday September 30, 2012, after losing a prolonged battle with lung cancer and undergoing numerous cycles of chemo therapy. Born September 14, 1938 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Curtis W and Alice Johnson McDowell. Jeanette moved to Rockledge, Florida with her husband James (Jim) Fowler and their three children in June, 1982. In March, 1983, she moved to Satellite Beach. As a loving wife, mother and sister, she raised their children while working full time as a customer service representative and later as the supervisor of the cashiers section at the Base Exchange, Patrick Air Force Base. She retired in 1995. Terry Wayne, her loving son, preceded her in death in October 2009. She is survived by two daughters,, Andrea and Dorea, two daughter-in-laws, Lisa Fowler and Christine Harbaugh, son-in-law Sameh Radwan, four grandchildren, Amber; husband Christopher Norris, Joshua, Charlotte and Josie. Also survived by her younger sister Annette Burns and husband William Burns, Sr, of Pineville, Louisiana.
Jeanette was a member of the South Patrick Baptist Church of Satellite Beach. She served at the Prayer Warriors Sunday School Class secretary for several years.
Jeanette loved her family!!! She was big hearted, fun loving and was thoroughly energized with shopping especially when buying clothing and gifts for her grandchildren. She was always eager to help anyone in need. She took great pleasure in each and every visit by children, grandchildren and other family members. She always looked for in visiting the Beauty Bungalow, the malls and the nail shop.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday October 2, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Florida Memorial Funeral Home Chapel followed by funeral services on Wednesday October 3, 2012 at 1PM at South Patrick Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Brevard Memorial Park, Cocoa, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Patrick Baptist Church, American Cancer Society and Humane Society ASPCA.
