Gil was born May 4th, 1944 in Bayonne, New Jersey to Hildred Goldstein Frank and the late Gilbert Milton Frank, Sr. He grew up in Miami, Florida. Gil began his collegiate education at the University of Florida and remained throughout his life an avid Gators fan. He finished his baccalaureate degree at the University of Houston and spent significant time and largely began his career in Houston, Texas. He committed virtually his entire career to the oil industry, travelling throughout the United States and the world, working with numerous firms, both large and small. Gil raised his family in Atlanta, Georgia and upon the college graduations of both of his sons, he and his wife, Deborah, moved to Florida, where he began his semi-retirement.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Deborah Frank, West Palm Beach, Florida; sons, Wesley (married to Natalie) and Garrett Frank, all in Atlanta, Georgia; granddaughter, Malin Frank; mother, Hildred Frank; sisters, Nancy Weinstein, Lois Fleming, and Marilyn Watkins; a host of friends and other relatives; and his beloved companion dog, Jasper.
Gil enjoyed sailing, golfing, and performance driving.
Memorial gathering will begin on Saturday, October 6th, 2012 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with services to begin at 12:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida 33458. Aycock Funeral Home can be reached at 561-746-5124.
