He was born on April 4, 1951 to Earl and Eleanor (Williams) Chandler in Rockland, ME. After graduating high school he served in the US Army. On July 26, 1975 he married his beloved wife Madolyn (Pavlas) in Groton, CT. He worked as an auto body repair technician.
Barry truly enjoyed yard sales and auctions, NASCAR, fixing computers, cars and just about anything considering himself a “tinkerer”. He was most well known for being a quiet man, a good father and just enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife Madolyn, daughters; Carrie Wallace, Jamie Mize and her husband Mitch, brothers; Raymond Chandler and Kendell Chandler, a grandson; Mason, many step-sisters in Maine, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5pm-7pm at Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday at 10am meeting directly at Maplewood Cemetery, 184 Salem Tnpk., Norwich, CT.
