Arlis Anderson Denson, 79, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 5, 2012. He was born November 23, 1932, to Albert and Annie Bennett Denson. He was a member of East Prentiss Baptist Church for over 60 years. He retired in 1979 from the U.S. Army after 28 years, where he attained the rank of Master Sargent. He served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He spent the rest of his life providing for and caring for his loving family. He will be greatly missed, always appreciated and never forgotten.
Funeral services with military honors will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marty Roberts officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, June Wiginton Denson; one daughter, Diane Denson Shaw of Booneville; two sisters, Syble Lee and Maxine Bradick; one brother, Nolan Denson and his wife Ruby; two grandchildren, James Denson Shaw and his wife Michelle and Kristie Elaine Shaw; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson G. Pounds and Makenzie Camille Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Ottis Denson.
