Betty Jean Woodring
March 12, 1929-November 16, 2012.
Betty was born on March 12, 1929 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Herschel and Ruth Howell and passed away peacefully on November 16, 2012. During the summer of ’47 she graduated from Classen High School and married her adoring husband B. Mac. Betty was a devoted wife and mother, a doting grandmother and a wonderful friend. She enjoyed crocheting and volunteering in her community, and had a passion for painting. Her unwavering faith was inspiring to all those who knew her and was a source of constant strength and comfort during her life. Betty’s kind yet tenacious nature brightened the lives of her friends and family; she was loved dearly, and will be deeply missed. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Mac Sr., her son Hal Roy, and her aunt Lavinia Hall. She is survived by her son Billy Mack Woodring Jr.; her grandson Billy Mack Woodring III and his wife Alicia; her granddaughter Samantha Woodring and their mother Sandy Woodring-Garrett; her sister-in-law Edie Kirschner and her husband Art; and her cousin Carolyn Collard.
