He was born on August 28, 1958, Oahu in Hawaii, the son of George E. and Ethel
(Maines) Gallaher, of Clearfield.
George was Protestant by Faith. He was a 1977 graduate of Clearfield Area High
School and of Vale Tech of Blairsville in Diesel and Automotive Mechanic.
He was a member of the Aerie #812 Fraternal Order of Eagles. George enjoyed
fishing and Harley Davidson and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and
a collector of toy trucks and cars.
George is survived by his parents, three children: Shannon Cline Randazzo, TN,
Destiny Gallaher and Shane Gallaher both of Marysville, PA, two grandchildren,
two brothers and five sisters; Cindy Mattern and her husband Ernie, of
Frenchville, PA, Debra Lyon, of OK, Robert Gallaher and his wife Donna, of
Clearfield, Penny Sevek and her husband Dave, of BushKill Falls, PA, Tim Gallaher
and his wife Gwen, of Fountain, FL, Brenda Coudriet and her companion Matthew
Michaels, of Clearfield, Amy Grubb and her husband Floyd, of Three Springs, PA
and James Miller, of DuBois, twenty four nieces and nephews and several great
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Dustin Eugene Gallaher, infant
brother, David Craig Gallaher and his grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at
Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Jim L. Knepp
officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received on at the funeral home and on Wednesday, November
28th 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00 -9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the
hour of the services at 11:00 A.M.
The family suggest that contributions be made to the Bennett and Houser Funeral
Home Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 to help defray the funeral
expenses.
