William John Klumpp, age 78, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas after a 30-month battle with cancer. He was an only child born on November 16, 1934 to John and Myrtle Klumpp in Logansport, Indiana. He served his country in the Air Force and graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1962. Bill held various electrical engineer positions with NASA, Hughes Aircraft and Kelly AFB. He was an active participant in The Arboreans and The Knights of Columbus where he served as The Grand Knight at St. Pius. He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 50 years, Drucella LaRoux Klumpp and his parents. Survivors include his sons, Gary Klumpp and wife, Jennifer, Tim Klumpp, and Billy Klumpp and wife, Cathy; 10 grandchildren, Nick, Ben, Chrissy, Cody, Morgan, Amber, Blake, Grant, Bradley, and Parker; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will take place from 5:30 pm-9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7pm Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, November 30, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Francis McHugh celebrant. A reception will follow a mass at the church.
